Lunar is the leading digital bank in the Nordics. Based in Copenhagen, Lunar launched Project Blue, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to combating plastic pollution and protecting our precious oceans. As part of this partnership, Lunar is donating a portion of their revenue from their credit card to support Seven Clean Seas' impactful ocean projects. By joining Project Blue, users not only receive a free account, a digital card, and access to Denmark's best banking app, but users also play an active role in protecting our oceans.

Lunar was founded in 2015 by a group of tech entrepreneurs who wanted to rethink banking, payments and investments. The investors behind Lunar include HEARTLAND, Kinnevik, Tencent, Seed Capital, Augustinus Fabrikker, Greyhound Capital and Socii Capital.

The challenge: Make Lunar’s user base feel connected and committed to the cause they are supporting even if it’s happening thousands of kilometers away from their eyes.

The solution:

In order to promote and support Project Blue, we launched a mix of creative marketing & thought leadership.

Our goal was to build a bridge between Denmark & Indonesia, making sure that everyone in the Nordics can understand the impact they have with every payment they make through their Lunar Card. We came up with the idea of "demonstrating impact with every tap of your card" and filmed a commercial in Bali featuring a Danish actress.

The goal was to showcase the significant impact Lunar users can make with such a small gesture. As part of our campaign to introduce Project Blue to as many users as possible, we created and distributed a long-form interview on LinkedIn featuring Anne Marie Kindberg, Chief Revenue Officer of Lunar and former CMO of Microsoft DK.
